Heather Barnes is the Director of Guest Experiences at the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago, IL.  At MSI Heather lead the opening of a new Science Theatre in 2008 and she has directed two live science shows including Poop Happens, and The Sound of Science. Heather uses improvisation as a tool throughout the museum to help engage guests, build team relationships, and teach educational content to staff and guests.  

As a graduate of the Second City's Conservatory program and a performer at Second City's Donny Skybox, Heather has directed, produced, and performed in several sketch comedy and improvisational shows in Chicago over the past six years.  

Heather has a Masters Degree in public policy from the University of Chicago and she has seven years experience in the Information Technology industry.  She continues to participate in and support the theatre community in Chicago.
